Establishing an infrastructure

Goal of the pilot project is the introduction of a standardised
charging infrastructure
for light electric vehicles (LEVs) by means of a newly developed Charge & Lock Cable which will be tried for the first time in the test region in the summer of 2013.
Electric mobility is a hot topic which has answers in store for
many current topics – environment, infrastructure, urbanity and
mobility behaviour are the key words. LEVs have already gained
in importance in many people’s everyday life and leisure time activities.

Yet the constrains of their usage are also known: Limited
range, scarcity of public charging stations, lacking compatibility of different systems as well as fear of theft and vandalism.
Goal of the project: Establishing an infrastructure that considers and solves all problem areas mentioned above.
